- 1A new key blade (either a traditional car key or a laser remote control flip key) must be cut accurately to unlock the doors and fit the ignition.
- 2The transponder chip inside the replacement Car Key must be electronically “paired” to your vehicle so the ECU recognises it when the key turns in the ignition.
- 3The remote fob (if opted for one) needs to be synced to the vehicle as well in order for the central locking to work.
When programming a key, we require a pin code, this code was issued with the vehicle when new it should be in the vehicles paperwork, if you don’t have this available we can order them from the main dealers at an extra charge.
